I've just read Al Quaeda and what it means to be modern by John Gray, in an attempt to further my I.R knowledge this summer.
But, since a certain book will be with us shortly, I shall be rereading the first 5 books over the next two weeks.

FWIW, the other ezboards I visit were affected the same as this one, the posts haven't returned there either. It's become a case of replacing everything bit by bit. Whoever screwed things up did a thorough job. Anywhoo, books... I just finished OOTP yesterday, so I'm all ready for book 6, lol. Before that I read GoF, and before that, the full Narnia set. Basically I'm up to *here* in fantasy books, I should really consider digging out something different, add a little variety into the mix... ***********************************

Robert Heinlein: Revolt in 2100.
It's weird, I must have unconciously switched to reading books with less than 200 pages, because that way I won't be half through another book when we reach the 16th. ![]() So, remember kids: Every time you mess up punctuation, God electrocutes Orlando Bloom with a cattle prod. |

I need to start my Harry Potter reread soon...
But I'm currently part way through 'Memnoch the Devil', which Ben lent me (when I've read it I'll have read all of the Vampire Chronicles). And then I also need to finish reading 'And that's when it fell off in my hand', which my friend Sarah lent me, because I've given up buying that series... kind of grown out of them, but will read them if people lend them to me. Oh, and Ben wants to lend me 'Hey Nostrodamus' before I go on holiday... So I don't know when the Harry Potter reread will happen exactly... "I won't deny that I am a werewolf"

"A Series of Unfortunate Events: the Carnivorous Carnival". Grrr, Lemony Snicket drives me mad with his constant hint-whacking! (He doesn't DROP them, he hits you in the face with them and then doesn't tell you what they're about!)

Re: What are you reading right now? | ||

Bought two new books today, so right now I'm reading:
- "In the waiting room of death: living and dying with dementia in a colouring society" (an antropological study on nursing homes in the Netherlands). - Downfall: Hitler and the end of the Third Reich (a historical study on Hitler's last days). - Stravaganza, City of Stars. And Order of the Phoenix too, bits and pieces as I'm struggling to finish my fanfiction before HBP (MADNESS, I still need three more chapters! I've just started reading the Goblet of Fire. I am re-reading all the books right now. I want to be refreshed for when HBP comes out. It's funny, when it was a month away it didn't seem that long and now that it is a week away it seems like forever.

I gave up on the complete Harry Potter reread idea.
Because I was part way through too many books at once. So this evening, I started to read OotP. I've read the other books so many times I'll cope without the reread... "I won't deny that I am a werewolf"

Erm, ok, since I've some time off I've read so far:
Real Allegories by Ute Eskildsen not good, not bad, not boring, erm, somewhat. Somehow it's all written before and it was better written indeed. Descent of Socrates: Self-Knowledge and Cryptic Nature in the Platonic Dialogs by Peter Warnek was some sort of interesting sometimes but all so much common written, which has let me get angry much more. He should took himself by his own nose as to say and look into a mirror. Or he did descriped himself with writing that book huh? To Krypton les Politeias Ton Lakedaimonion by H. Mitchell Has some really interesting and surprising ideas but Mr. Mitchell isn't able to follow them logically to the end I've to say to my disapointment. Lucky enough I'm able to go back to work and to read really interesing books. |

I've given up on the 3rd Borne book. I would have to reread it all now and there is no way I'll get it done before HBP. I'm going to the library today to see if I can get the next book of Fruits basket. it is SO funny, and it takes about 1 hour to read it if I don't die into giggles.
